Cwt Glo eco cottage Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)/ Zip World

Cwt Glo is a cosy and peaceful cottage for two in Northern Snowdonia nestled between two mountain ranges the Carneddau and Glyderau. Cwt Glo is situated in a small village near Bethesda called Mynydd Llandygai. There is private off road parking next to the cottage. Cwt Glo is Welsh for Coal house and the cottage was the place where the coal was weighed and measured. The property has been both a farm and coal yard for the local area. Cwt Glo is a semi sustainable/off grid cottage it has a solar and wind system however there is the backup of mains electricity. There is also an LPG central heating and hot water system. The cottage has a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm in the evening after a busy day exploring the local area. We also provide the wood for your stay.

Relax in front of the woodburning stove after a days exploring, watch the sun set over Penrhyn Castle, take a walk down to the beach, or enjoy a drink at the The Slate Tavern and a walk home across the fields. Relax after a day in the mountains in this, cosy, dog friendly cottage on the edge of the village of Rachub. A five min walk from the door to the mountains. The cottage has lovely original features, such as the charming staircase, exposed stone inglenook fireplace with log burning stove (logs not provided) & wooden floorboards. Quality cooker, fridge and kitchen items. Sleeping 2 in a super king Feather & Black bed with Emma mattress, a z-bed is available if requested for a young child.

The cottage is only a stone's throw away from the famous Slate Trail and Penrhyn Castle, steeped in its links to the Bethesda mining history. The perfect place to put your feet up and relax by the cosy log burner or enjoy a bbq with a view! Attractions close by includes Zip World and Snowdonia Mountain walks.
