Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Entre Avignon et Nimes, aux portes de la ville historique d'Uzès, "La Petite Garrigue", est une ancienne maison de berger Provençale, nichée dans 6000M2 de campagne protégée avec une vaste piscine chauffée. Renovée par des hôtes experimentés, elle est classée 4 étoiles en meublé de tourisme. Ses trois chambres climatisées, chacune avec salle de douche/WC, sa terrasse dinatoire ombragée, son boulodrome, et un parking avec borne de recharge en font un cadre unique pour des vacances d'exception!

Local produce, wine & basic provisions are available in two nearby villages. Numerous markets & restaurants are within easy reach.

This cottage for 5 to 7 people located in the small hamlet of Abric, is arranged on two levels with a large private terrace, a large kitchen living room, two atypical bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. The "suspended" swimming pool facing the Eagle's rock enhances the whole.

Old Farmhouse with pool & garden

This farmhouse from 1610, 1 minute away from Sommières by car. You will be in a peaceful setting with no street noise and a 9x4m pool to cool yourself on hot summer days. The garden goes down to the river where one can go fishing. From certain spots you can see the Chapelle Saint Julien from the XIth century as well as the château de Sommières. There is a brasero and a pizza oven outside to enjoy time together outside.
