Near the historic town of Clifton Forge, you will find the peaceful escape you have been searching for. The area is ideal for hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing and fishing. Our home has recently been completely remodeled and furnished to accommodate 8 people, with four bedrooms and two baths.

Secluded couple’s mountain cabin

A couple’s secluded retreat in a newly constructed (2020) single level creek view cabin with knotty pine. The parking area is equipped with a 230Vac/120Vac charge station for electric vehicles. The cabin has all comforts of home. 35 foot Trex deck along front of cabin to view song birds and hummingbirds. Ring security disabled. Outdoor fire ring with plenty of wood. Kayaks, floats, and fishing tackle supplied for fun in a beautiful creek. Our cabin has one king size bed designed for a couple.

Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

Ideally located between The Homestead & The Greenbrier, and close to Falling Spring Falls, Lake Moomaw, and Douthat State Park. Features include an open layout, equipped kitchen, heated/cooled sunroom, and two spacious bedrooms with en suite baths. Enjoy a deck with pergola, steps down to the river and nearby public access for easy floats.

This totally renovated cabin sits by the banks of beautiful Craig Creek. The Hideaway backs up to the 4,600+ acre Grace Furnace tract of National Forest. There are no neighbors in sight and the traffic is sparse.Sit on the screened porch or relax by the water's edge with the fire pit. The water is usually deep enough to swim in front of the house, and you can float for miles! You can fish right from the yard and catch trout, small-mouth bass, rock bass, and lots more!

Traveling with friends and need a second bedroom or just don't like occasional neighbors? Residence B shares the entry deck and is available individually or combined as a 2 bedroom/bathroom.

Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath guest house sleeps four looking over the Cowpasture River on a 350 acre working farm. Guest may use of our concrete tennis court and explore miles of hiking trails that lead to the national forest. Farm is surrounded by over 2.5 miles of the Cowpasture River. There is a gravel beach right beside the bridge entering the farm where one can enjoy wading and swimming. River here is 3-4 feet deep depending on the season and stream flow.

Geese, heron, and an occasional eagle fly along the river valley.
