Perfect for twitcher and wildlife enthusiasts, you may even catch a glimpse of an otter and seals! This is also an ideal launch site for your own kayak/canoe/SUP to just paddle around. Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

The Crofter's House, Isle of Skye

The Crofter's House is a traditional Scottish croft house that has been renovated to create a calm and peaceful retreat in the wild landscape of the Isle of Skye. Situated beside Camustianavaig Bay, the house enjoys a rural location, yet is only five miles from Portree. The house has been featured in a number of publications including Elle Decoration, Conde Nast Traveller, Time Out, and Homes & Interiors Scotland. NB: the five-mile road to Camustianavaig is a single track (tarmac) road.

Situated at one end of the village within walking distance of pub, restaurants and shop. Perfect spot for watching sea eagles, otters, seals and sunsets. Magical and inspiring!

Children & up to 2 well-behaved pets welcome.

Duich Cottage Kintail near the Isle of Skye

Duich Cottage is situated in the picturesque and tranquil village of Ault a`Chruinn on the shores of Loch Duich. The cottage is ideally located with easy access to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye as well as the charming villages of Kintail, Glenelg, Dornie and Plockton. The village of Dornie is home to the world famous Eilean Donan castle which is only a 10min drive from the cottage.
