Deerstalker is located on the Portnellan Estate and offers the only beautiful 1 bedroom self catering accommodation sleeping up to 2 people with ensuite bathroom and open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Situated in the heart of the central Highlands of Scotland with spectacular loch, glen and mountain views all around Deerstalker's setting is magnificent where a true highland landscape awaits you and it is often complimented on the abundance of bird and wild life that can be regularly seen. It is not unusual to see the deer meandering off the hill and passing nearby the property. Deerstalker comprises of 1 bedroom and has recently been refurbished to include a fully tiled ensuite bathroom with full size bath, separate power shower cubicle and heated floor. All new wood affect flooring, low energy mineral filled electric heating system, curtains and low energy feature lighting. The bedroom configuration is a king sized double with a hotel standard, 2000 spring, pocket sprung mattress with cashmere top. A fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons and open plan living and dining with a wood burning stove. Step from this area through a sliding patio door onto a private West facing patio with garden furniture and a spectacular estate view and surrounding mountains. The chalet is equipped with a LCD TV with SKY package and Blu Ray DVD. The Portnellan Estate has been privately owned by the same family for over 40 years and offers fantastic facilities to include fresh run salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, plenty of cycling on and off road for all abilities. There are kayaks, paddle boards and rowing boats on the river and lochs and a games room offering a pool table, table tennis and table football as well as a wee gym. Clay pigeon shooting can also be arranged. Wifi is available throughout the estate as well as BBQ hire. A wee visitors centre offers you th use of a DVD library, a selection of board games as well as local produce for sale to include honey, a range of hand made candles, eggs from our ducks on the estate and organic meat products fresh from a farm locally, perfect for the BBQ or home cooking. Portnellan Estate is the perfect base for exploring Central/West Scotland with known landmarks only a short distance away. Oban 45 minutes, Stirling, Fort William and Glasgow just over 1 hour and Edinburgh a 90 min drive. Glen Coe and all it beholds is less than 40 mins drive and the bonnie shores of Loch Lomond are 20 mins by car. Other areas include the truly beautiful Glen Lyon and Loch Tay, Glen Etive, Glen Lochay and Glen Orchy all within the local area. Lagavulin Hall is a 120 year old converted church in an attractive sheltered position, in its own garden, with views across Surnaig Bay to the ruins of Dunyveg Castle. The holiday let conversion has been done with a great deal of care and attention to the original features and external appearance of the building and has maintained the sense of space and light in the interior. This 6 berth static holiday caravan is situated within Cloch Caravan Site which has 24 acres of mature woodland as its setting. This is a beautiful location along the River Clyde and close to the Cloch Lighthouse by Gourock, We welcome dog(s) but we do restrict to a maximum of two animals. As a responsible dog owner you are expected to clean up after them. The caravan has wire mesh around the base to ensure dogs (and toddlers) cannot get under the caravan and make a bid for freedom..
