After a day exploring everything Ayrshire has to offer (be it history, culture, walking, seaside or golf) settle down in front of your roaring log burner or enjoy a drink on the private deck. Watch as the sun sets over the hill in front of you. Then, above you on a clear night, the Milky Way and a myriad of constellations appear. Truly rested, fall asleep in comfort & silence.

The Old Church, stunning historic venue

Retaining many wonderful original features and set in a semi-rural location, The Old Church features a welcoming wood burner, large bespoke wooden dining table, huge covered south facing deck with fire pit and views over open countryside. The grocery shop is a 5 minute walk, with many restaurants and attractions only a short drive. With two private one bedroom lodges secluded within the grounds and available for rent separately, The Old Church is ideally suited to friends and family gatherings.

Unfortunately no dogs/children/ infants are allowed as we are a working sheep farm & surrounded by water. Watermill Nook is set on the grounds of our charming former working Listed Watermill and is a romantic, cosy cabin ideal for guests who want to relax and unwind. The beautiful, fairy lit, private woodland garden set high above the River Mar is a special place in which to immerse yourself in nature, birdsong and the blissful sounds of the babbling river. As dusk falls, cosy up around the firepit or light the cabin wood burner, planning your next adventure exploring fabulous Loch Lomond.
