Achray Farm is a working smallholding / goat farm and ice-cream maker in the Trossachs. We offer holiday let stays in The Old Farmhouse & The Cake House (sleeps 4). Old Farmhouse was renovated in 2019 to create bright, spacious accommodation whist retaining original features, along with a wood burning stove and complimented by 300Mbs fibre WiFi & biomass heating. Our location is the perfect start for walking, cycling & touring the area right from the door and walking distance from the tearoom.

This Victorian house (1879) is furnished to an extremely high standard. With plenty of living space, a wonderful large garden and a unique location, it is perfect for special occasions, memorable family gatherings and short breaks for groups of friends.

Looking out over Kilbrannan Sound to Arran, Daiglen is a magical spot to relax and unwind. Situated at the end of the road, the house has no passing traffic but is only a few minutes walk to the harbour and other amenities in the village. Otters, seals, dolphins and all manner of birdlife can be regularly seen from the house. Beaches and walks on the doorstep. Golf (9 hole) and fishing are both possible in the village. After a dip or a snorkel rinse off using the warm outdoor shower.

It’s a homely small space, with double bed, compact kitchen and a shower room. There are 2 chairs and some fold out tables a tv, with Prime, Netflix and internet. It is a totally private secret escape. This is truly a place to relax and to get away from it all. Just sit on the deck, or take a stroll along the banks of the Loch. The cabin sleeps 2 people and is totally private. A wonderful location for fishing, walking and cycling, (or just chilling).

Relax at the edge of a loch, near Edinburgh

We have facilities for a baby, disabled persons and well-behaved dogs. Rural, 3 miles to the shops in Penicuik. 12 miles to Edinburgh and 10 miles to Peebles. The X62 bus goes to Edinburgh or Peebles every half hour. The bus stop is less than a kilometre away. It takes 40-50 mins to the centre of Edinburgh, depending on the traffic.
