Welcome to my romantic cottage on a serene mountain lake in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. Only a 3 hour drive from NYC, it's another world of peace, beauty, and tranquility. Nearby are the Appalachian Trail, National Forest, State Park, hiking and cross country ski trails, boating, fishing, and swimming, private dock, antiquing, restaurants, art museums, history, and theatre. This is a cultural and naturalist's wonderland. Recently fully renovated. Not suitable for young children.

The property abuts 70 acres of preserved land, but is steps from Main Street and all the shopping, dining, and outdoor options that this lovely year-round tourist town has to offer.

Chickadee cottage is located in the heart of the Woodford lake community, just across the street from the lake. Plenty to see and do near this mountain retreat. We are a short walk to the beach or continue on to miles of hiking trails. In the winter nordic ski at Prospect Mt. (1 mile) or downhill ski at Mt. Snow (19 miles). Any time of year enjoy casual eating or fine dining in Wilmington, Bennington or use the grill and eat out on the deck. A bonus: Woodford State Park is just down the road.
