Attached annex doubles the space, includes toilet, shower, alfresco living, fridge/freezer, convection microwave, induction twin cook top, sink, leaner and barstools. Private access and off street safe parking. Suits seasonal workers, travellers or BTI students. Longer term stays welcomed. King fisher cottage is a tranquil eco cottage set on the rivers edge of 11 acres of wild farmland and beautifully landscaped gardens that offer total privacy. The cottage has a semi-outdoor bath for bathing while star gazing, a kitchenette, living area & bedroom. There is no wifi & minimal phone reception, the perfect place to get away and unwind an enjoy nature. PLEASE NOTE: June through to September the track is too soft for a car so you need to park in the carpark and walk 40m to cottage.

This private area is perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with yourself. Wear covering clothing outdoors for insects 15 minutes from Hobbiton, close to Te Waihou Blue spring and Waiwere falls. Arriving at night, follow the solar lights. Dogs are welcome but no aggressive dogs. Please take your waste with you, we have don’t have bins in rural areas.

There are great walks from the doorstep; around the estuary, which is just over the road, and beyond via the Omokoroa Cycleway. Further up the driveway you'll find the paddock with our two alpacas and a bubbling brook running through it. The cabin includes a kitchen with small oven, single induction hob and microwave. Fast wifi is included.
