This charming cottage was built in 1837 as the original firehouse of Harper's Ferry. The town square is outside your front door, and it is a short walk to the National Historical Park, restaurants, cafes, and shopping. A perfect blend of location and history, the cottage has many modern updates including queen size bed, pull out couch, fast WIFI, washer/dryer, smart tv, and a secure shed for bike storage. Ladder in the kitchen leads to locked storage area. Living space is all on the first floor.

Our basecamp apartment is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast looking for an escape to the countryside. We are 1/2mile from the C&O Towpath and Potomac river and less than 2 miles from Harpers Ferry and the Appalachian Trail. Our location makes this perfect for couples, families or groups looking to hike, bike, or raft. Make use of our deck, grill, fire pit, and bike tools. We recently got internet. But no TV, and weak cell signal. The kitchenette has a hotplate, toaster oven, and coffee maker.

From taking a walk to where Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers merge, to hiking the Appalachian Trail, or visiting one of the wineries and breweries in the area, there is something for everyone to enjoy. For civil war buffs there's plenty of sights to visit.

The Barn has live music throughout the week. We've got plenty of parking, but you won't need your car. The national park, trails, and river are all close by. Harpers Ferry is dog-friendly.
