Experience the tranquility of our country cottage, perfectly positioned amongst native trees. Our Cottage is cosy, newly refurbished and fully equipped. On a nice day a short walk provides breathtaking views of our beautiful mountain. Flights cancelled and need accomodation? We are 5 mins from the airport and may be available to pickup/drop off. Please note : -We are 10 minutes drive to the heart of the city. -Please expect traffic noise -Our home is on the same property -Must love cats!

The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Enjoy the indoor fire, play golf at the golf course at the end of the street and  explore or fish at the nearby river and beach, known for their fishing & surfing. 5 mins drive to the iconic Waitara township with its great secondhand shops, supermarket and takeaways. Plan your trip to include a visit to our Mount Taranaki and bike or walk the coastal walkway. A great place for a West Coast holiday.

Panoramic views of sea, 1 min walk to the beach, surf, kayak, hike Mt Taranaki or bike the Coastal Walkway. 3 min to playground. Master Bedroom with ensuite upstairs. Well equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, TV, Netflix and free wifi. 15-20 mins from New Plymouth. 10 minutes from Airport. 40 mins from White Cliffs Walk, 15 mins to Pukekura Park Festival of the Lights. 35mins to Mt Taranaki. Some book for 1 guest and show up with 6. So we check our door camera. Please be honest.

Quiet, comfortable, clean, warm, double glazed, the perfect getaway. Easy access to shops, supermarket, restaurants, cafes and bars, pools and beach. Only a short 15-minute drive to New Plymouth to explore what New Plymouth has to offer. The most comfortable beds made up to suit your stay. I have found that some will book for 2 guests and arrive with more. This has forced the installation of a outside camera. Please be honest when making your booking. There are no cameras inside the house.

Mahoetahi Farm a 30 acres organic farm Greg & I have retired to. Te Awa cottage is modern, light & airy, high stud & 2 generous bedrooms with a comfortable Ikea Sofa bed in the lounge. Spacious dining inside & out. Kitchen/bathroom well equipped & clean. Like to share flowers & produce from the garden when available. We love people & sharing our local knowledge. Next door Te Maunga cottage sleeps 2-4. Come and explore Taranaki. Ask about early check in or latecheck when available.
