Mawheraiti is more than just accommodation it’s a destination. Mawheraiti is a 1400 hectare working farm with native forests/bush and private fishing holes. The farm backs on to the Paparoa National Park so the views are always amazing. 15 minutes up the road is the quant town of Reefton with outstanding mountain bike tracks catering for every level and Little Biddy Gin distillery for those who aren’t as active. 5 minutes up the road is one of a few gold prospecting areas you can pan for gold.

Nikau Palms Retreat Lodge

Nikau Palms Retreat Lodge is the only accommodation located in Karamea that can cater for 10 guests. It is great for families, or large groups. It has three spacious bedroom. Bedroom 1 has a super king bed, and faces north. Bedroom 2 has a super king bed, and faces south west. Bedroom 3 has three sets of bunk single bunk beds, and faces north. There are two bath rooms, bathroom 1, has a toilet, shower and wash hand basin. Bathroom 2 has a claw foot bath, shower, toilet and vanity.

Fenian Retreat

Fenian Retreat is nestled on the edge of the well known Kahurangi National Park in Karamea. Relax and listen to the abundance of bird life while sitting on the deck watching the beautiful sunset or have a long hot soak in the hot tub which can seat four people. You may even hear the resident Kiwi calling once the sun goes down. Take a drive out to the end of the Heaphy Track, a drive up to the Oparara Arch is a must see or a short walk up the Fenian. There’s plenty to see and do here. Enjoy.

Kiwiana Kampover

Welcome to Kiwiana Kampover you will be staying in a 1975 refurbished caravan with a detached private bathroom and private deck. We are situated 6 km from Westport township on a lifestyle block nestled between the mountains and the sea. We have a private hot tub adjacent to the caravan which is available for guests staying 2 or more nights. It is oil fired so takes some time to heat and would also depend on my husband being at home to organize it. Ask about the bush walk also on the property.

Nestled next to Kahurangi National Park, is the closest BnB to the Heaphy Track Great Walk and the awe-inspiring Oparara Arches. A remote, private garden retreat complete with Labyrinth and off-grid hot tub (advance notice). This self-contained little house for 2 was once a Honey house. Ruru Nest Property is next to a river and farmland, just a few minutes outside of the village of Karamea with its cafes and pubs. Local food, nature connection walks available as extras to complete your stay.

Rainforest Hot Tub only 2km from Punakaiki Village

Treescapes is a modern two-bedroom house nestled in native bush looking out to the Tasman Sea. Just one kilometre south of Punakaiki you are very close to the action but can sit in our 6 person hot tub in absolute privacy sorrounded by palms. The house has an open plan fully equipped kitchen and living area with a large covered deck, perfect for outdoor dining. Both bedrooms have queen beds, and one also has a wooden bunk set. All linen and towels provided. *UPDATE: Blinds now in bedroom
