We have the best of both worlds, stunning countryside & easy access to local amenities. We’re on Domen Fawr which is over 1653ft high. At the top you can see Pen y Fan & central Brecons. Heads of the Valley is nearby & provides great access across South Wales. Cardiff is an hour away by train. We are a quiet retreat, ideal for walkers, young families or couples wanting a relaxing, peaceful break. Pets are welcome but there are additional charges. Please ask us in advance as we have our own dogs.

Lovely view of the countryside, quiet, calm and relaxing. We allow a small dog, guests need to inform hosts of their intention to bring their pet with them, as there are certain rules/guidelines. We have the beautiful Morgan Jones’ Park on our doorstep through which you can access the rear of the Castle grounds. A scenic walk around the grounds to the front of the Castle will bring you to the town centre where you’ll find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. We have 3 local train stations that take you into Cardiff City Centre, and bus stop outside the door to Caerphilly Station.
