Located on a hectare of farmland in Prince Albert, with privacy, peace and security, within walking distance to restaurants, shops and museum. Children are welcome, making it an ideal getaway for a family, or for 2 couples travelling together. Aircon, swimming pool and braai facilities, fireplace for winter. Electricity is solar-powered and grid. Two double en-suites make it comfortable, an additional suite available [Acacia Annexe, book separately]. North facing verandah for afternoon sunsets.

Karoo Koppie Cottage

Koppie Cottage is our special "off-the-grid" Getaway. Access to the cottage is preferable with a 4x4 or Bakkie and goes through our Olive groves and across the River. The cottage is a tranquil haven , surrounded by Karoo veld and overlooked by the majestic Swartberg mountains. Windmill, limited solar power and gas supply the necessary utilities and peace and quiet are the order of the day. Drag yourself off the stoep, and walk up onto the Koppie behind, into the ancient Karoo veld.

Oasis Cottage

Oasis Cottage is an authentic self-catering retreat in the peaceful town of Merweville, in the heart of the Great Karoo. This little cottage has a relaxed, Greek-inspired outside feel and sleeps up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms. Enjoy a well-equipped kitchen, homely lounge with a red piano, free Wi-Fi, and shaded parking. Outdoor spaces include a patio with hammock, braai, pizza oven, and outdoor beds for resting by day or stargazing under the incredible Karoo stars.

Bobbejaankrans, Touwsberg Game and Nature Reserve

Long weekend escape for nature lovers on a Game and Nature Reserved, surrounded by untouched beauty and wild animals. Completely off the grid, powered by solar and gas. Our house is easily accessible from Route62. The facilities are excellent. The house is privately located, and offers an indoor fireplace, braai facilities, a plunge pool and a stoep for bird viewing. It sleeps four, ideally two adults with young children or for a romantic get-away for two.

Schuilhoek Cottage - Your perfect hide away!

The Schuilhoek cottage delivers arguably the best views of the Swartberg Mountains in the Groenfontein Valley. Light a fire and sit back and relax in the sparkling pool and experience nature at its finest. The house has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, two fire places and exquisite wooden floors. Walk opposite the road to have a wine and port tasting at Peter Bayly wines!

Matjiesvlei Cottages - Die Stalle

Die Stalle, was originally built as the residences for two owners of undivided shares in the land bordering the Kleinrivier. It has now been restored into a comfortable 3 bedroomed cottage with a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. During the summer you can cool off in the nearby farm dam, or go for a swim in the river at the private picnic site.

Large garden full of fruit trees and birds. Please note that most of our guests who book for one night regret not staying longer, so we do recommend longer stays if you have the time!
