A peaceful retreat and a superb base for exploring our wonderful city, we hope everyone will enjoy their time here.

Our comfortable cottage has easy access into the heart of Chester. The garden gate opens onto the canal towpath with a ten minute stroll up to our local Cheshire Cat pub. Alternatively, stay in and snuggle up with the wood burner. On a fine day, turn left out of the back gate for a pleasant 35 minute walk, following the canal directly into the beautiful city of Chester. Maybe take a boat trip on the river Dee? Alternatively, Chester Zoo is just a 10 minute drive, continuing down the A41.

The bright living room has a wood-burning stove and TV, while the dining room leads to a modern kitchen with bifold doors to the secure garden. The cottage is within walking distance to shops, restaurants/bars as well as to the Story House, Chester market, race course, river and cathedral. The cottage is full of character including low beamed ceilings, narrow spiral staircase and inglenook fireplace offering the perfect stay for two people.

Hope Cottage is a superb, newly renovated, self-contained, sandstone cottage with off-road parking, garden and fabulous views across the Sandstone Trail. With a strong french influence this 1-bedroomed property is an ideal getaway for a romantic break and an excellent base to explore Cheshire, North Wales and the beautiful local countryside. Located beneath Bickerton Hill, Hope Cottage is set in a small rural village. The cottage is NOT suitable for children.

Grooms Cottage - an idyllic Cheshire rural retreat

Grooms Cottage is adjacent to our home in the charming hamlet of Tiverton, near Tarporley, Cheshire. Built in the Victorian era, the cottage was accommodation for a groom to facilitate hunting and shooting parties from the hunting lodge and stables. Guests are provided with a breakfast welcome pack upon arrival consisting of Croissant, butter, Twinings tea, selection of Tassimo coffee pods, organic milk & Wilkin & Sons preserves, all sealed.
