There are two playgrounds nearby, one just over the fence, and another one 3 mins walk - 200 meters to Westlake.

Banks Peninsula Escape-Birdlings Flat

A unique and modern getaway only 40 minutes from CHCH. Perfect for a quickand easy getaway mid week for something completely different. Right next to Lake Forsyth, Lake Ellesmere and the beach. Our little house is quite new and very warm. 3 large sliding doors open out on to a private courtyard and vast Doc land. Very quite and peacefull full of bird life. Dogs welcome but are $20 per dog xtra and please don’t let them loose near doteril colony outside house on the beach.

Our home located in residential area with 15 min drive to Christchurch CBD, 10 min to the beach, 20 min to airport and 5 min walk to a beautiful lake. Your room has everything you need with a private bathroom and toilet down the shared hallway. you are always welcome to use the shared kitchen/ dining/lounge/outdoor area as you like. During your stay we are happy to interact as much or as little as you would like. The stay is shared with my family of 4.
