A nice relaxing bush setting,on a lifestyle block, that also has farm animals.( chickens, ducks & sheep). There is seasonal fruit to pick from our trees, such as apples pears & feijoas. You can have breakfast outdoors with the bellbirds or a barbecue in the evening. We are only an hours walk along a beach track to the local Otorimiro(Governors Bay) hotel , or else it is 5 minutes drive. We are surrounded by beautiful scenery and close to the Port Hill walking tracks and mountain bike trails.

It is a unique design of two “pods” - living/kitchen space and the second pod consisting of the bathroom & bedrooms, linked via a covered outdoor deck area. The cabin is the perfect setting for a quiet weekend away for couples or families, clad in natural cedar timber with high vaulted ceiling lined with locally milled beech timber, you will instantly feel relaxed.

Contemporary self contained modern cabin situated in a peaceful and private garden setting. It has 2 double glazed doors leading on to a deck with out door seating. Separate access way, with parking bay at side of cabin. Additional parking is available in adjoining paddock with gate through to alleyway. Cabin has starlink wifi with excellent wifi connection. The cabin is on a lifestyle block, with extensive gardens, orchard, herb garden, sheep, chickens, and hydroponic system.

Kaihope Cottage was built around 1852 and retains a lot of its colonial charm. It is fully self-contained and recently refurbished and restored to add comfort and enjoyment to your stay. Kaihope Cottage is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy the peaceful picturesque surroundings. Our cottage is located near our homestead on our sheep and cattle farm.
