Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space at the end of a private laneway. Accessed by external steps, the house is split into two pods connected by an external deck. Lofty ceilings and timber walls create a warm bach-like interior with large ceiling fans in each room and a log burner fire. Glass sliders open out to dramatic views of the harbour and hills. Enjoy a drink or BBQ on the large deck or unwind with a hot outdoor bath. Just a 5-minute walk from the local supermarket and brew bar.

Kakariki Ecostay

A beautiful private hill-side sanctuary in Sumner overlooking Christchurch with a clear view to the southern alps, estuary & the whole of pegasus bay. This ecologically & sustainably designed home off a private lane surrounded by native bushland with arguably one of the best views in town. With less than a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk downhill you will have access to Sumner Beach and Village. Alternatively a short walk uphill to access mountain bike and walking tracks on the Port Hills.

THE BIRD'S NEST - Secluded getaway!

The Birds Nest is a secluded and boutique cabin nestled amongst the tree tops and away from other houses. This luxury hideaway provides the peace and quiet of nature, whilst maintaining close proximity to all that the city and suburbs has to offer. Beachside Shack and hot tub

Newly renovated self contained cottage minutes from the beach, shops and walks. The Shack has had a new lease of life and sits at the back of your hosts house. You have your own entrance and privacy, a spa to soak in and your own courtyard to watch the sunset. Comes with a friendly dog too! A 2 minute walk to watch the sunrise on the beach or the same to watch the sunset over Christchurch. Markets , hot pools, supermarket and shops 15 min walk. Bus stop to city also close. Perfect!

Opawaho retreat - private self contained space

Opawaho retreat offers a peaceful, private, self contained place to stay in our large family home. We are close to the city centre (3km) and surrounding recreation hotspots of Canterbury (ski fields 90 min drive). Tucked away in a leafy section boasting both privacy & delightful birdsong. Cafes a plenty to satisfy the caffeine & baked goods lovers plus the local supermarket is only a 10-15 min walk depending on your pace. Bus stops also dotted around taking you to the city & beyond.

Avonview Cottage

Avonview Cottage is a cosy place, warm in winter and cool in summer (with heatpump and HRV). There is a full kitchen, with large fridge/freezer, microwave, ceramic cooktop (4 burners) and an oven. The bathroom has a nice hot shower and a small vanity. There’s also a front loading washing machine for you to use. The Avon River is very close by and the area is very quiet. A New World supermarket is only a 10 minute walk away and there are lots of other shops and restaurants around.

Welcome to our ensuite studio, surrounded by a peaceful, green & relaxing garden. Perfect for recovering from a long flight. 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes to the central city Plenty of off street parking and an excellent bus service to the central city. The bus stop is a 2 minute walk. Please be aware that the kitchen & dining area are in the main house and are shared with the hosts. You are very welcome to use both areas. Airport transfers are $15 each way.

Nestled in a fantastic neighbourhood on our Somerfield property, we are close to the city and the hills so you'll have the best Ōtautahi (Christchurch) has to offer close at hand. The studio boasts a super comfortable King bed, an ensuite with generous shower, built in home office and small lounge area. Outside there is a private deck with outdoor furniture and a spa.
