The bathroom is on the ground floor and large sitting/dining room with a gas heater and provides plenty of space for five people indoors and there is a private, wrap around garden with BBQ area that enjoys the sun at most times of the day.

Mersea Island is off the coast of Essex, 9 miles southeast of Colchester, just one hour from London.

In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. There are plenty of lovely walks close by through the woods or alongside the River Colne or Roman River. The riverfront is a short walk down the hill.
