It has been revamped with a modern twist inspired by wildflowers. The cabin is just south of Grand Lake. It is extremely easy to access year-round via car, has great views of Rocky Mountain National Park, and boasts all of the modern amenities to make you feel comfortable during your stay. The cabin is a perfect mountain getaway to enjoy tranquil peace, yet only 3 minutes from I-70, restaurants, shops, trails, and beauty! The large sun room is the crowning glory of the cabin; it doesn't intrude on nature but is built with nature in mind. It places you in the middle of a wooded landscape boasting large windows all around that make you feel like you are outside in the snow, yet stay warm and cozy inside.

That Dam Cabin, too!

This historic yet modern 500 square foot cabin was built in 1932 for men working on the Shadow Mountain dam. When we found it, we knew this would be the perfect getaway for us and wanted others to share this experience too. Our cabin is 4 miles from downtown Grand Lake! It's a short drive to restaurants, shops, hiking, fishing, the beach and kayak/boat rentals. Head to the Rocky Mountain National park to hike and see wildlife or stay home and enjoy s'mores around the fire.

Outside, hear sounds of our trickling creek while you’re enjoying the fire pit, hot tub, or grill patio in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. We’re 20 mins from Evergreen lake.

Rustic Funk Waterfront Cabin is a simple & exceptionally-located retreat with stunning mountain views. Featuring windows that look out over the bustling creek, the cabin is perfectly situated right off the main road and tucked into a riverfront enclave. It's not fancy, so don't book if you want fancy. Design is simple, natural, & has an earthy feel about it. It is VERY clean, but not updated. Just minutes from historic Idaho Springs Colorado and 35 minutes from Denver.
