Mallard Lodge has a playful streak running through its calm, refined interior, with soft textures, natural tones and a big wooden kayak suspended above the dining table. With three en-suite bedrooms, a ground-floor room for easy access and a master balcony over the lake, it’s a relaxed base for six. Days drift between the deck, the hot tub and (actual) kayaks when the lake looks too inviting to ignore.

With four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and an open-plan downstairs that pulls the lake right into the living area, there’s room for early risers, late sleepers and anyone needing a quiet moment.
