The Granny Flat @ St Mary's

Historic Tain is the ideal base for your Highland get-away. The North Coast 500 and the North Highland Way both pass the doorstep for those keen on cycling and walking. For the golfers we are a short distance to the Royal Dornoch Golf Course as well as having our own 120 year old Tom Morris designed course. The historians among you will love Tain and the surrounding areas for the Pictish Trails, and the Tain Through Time museum will tell of these and The 15th century Pilgrimages. The beautiful beaches of Dornoch, Portmahomack and the Seaboard villages are always worth a visit, you might even see a dolphin or two! The Granny Flat at St Mary's is a self contained one bedroom flat with parking in our driveway. The flat has its own entrance to the side of the building and you'll find a kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom suitable for two adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances. As we are busy out and about every morning we can offer bread, cereals, tea and coffee for you to help yourself at your own leisure. The bathroom has a shower with a steam facility and a roll top bath to relax in. It also has a pulley so you can hang up your washing at the end of your busy day. We can provide a lockable area for your bicycles if required, please let us know if we can help or provide anything else.

Drumossie Bothy

Drumossie Bothy is a cosy retreat. Enjoy views across the fields and relax in our wood-fired hot tub and gaze at the stars at night. We have everything you need for the perfect break away. Enjoy a kingsize bed, inside and outside dining spaces, private garden, and dedicated parking bay. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and make use of the well-equipped kitchen. Just 15 minutes drive from the airport, 10 minutes from the city centre and opposite popular Highland wedding venue, the Drumossie Hotel.

Cosy shepherd's hut with stunning views on NC 500

Perfectly situated on the NC500 and cycle route, this newly built well equipped shepherd's hut is a cosy place to rest your head. It can sleep up to 3 people. A microwave, kettle, mini-fridge and crockery make up the kitchen area. There is free wifi and a digital radio with bluetooth to enjoy. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. The views across to Ben Wyvis and the Cromarty Firth are outstanding and the dark sky at night is excellent for star gazing. Red Kites frequently fly overhead.

Eilean dubh studio apartment, North Kessock.

The apartment is located on the seafront in the coastal village of North Kessock by the Moray Firth. It has its own entrance and there is convenient parking beside the property. It is comfortably furnished and is in a peaceful location 10 minutes from Inverness by car. It is ideally situated for the North Coast 500 route and locations from the time-travelling series ‘Outlander.’ There is a lovely seaview from the apartment where you may see the Moray Firth Bottlenose Dolphins, Otters, etc.

Two nights or more recommended - you will regret it if you don't! Our Orchard Room looks out over our small orchard (figs, plums, apples, pears and cherries, plus grapes in our greenhouse). The Orchard Room offers a kingsize bed without a footboard (better for tall guests!). The spacious Meadow Room (single bed plus breakfast table and vintage sofa) is decorated with original watercolours mainly by Vee and her family. The Black Isle has so much to offer. With boundless bird life including Osprey, the gardens make an ideal spot for birdwatching. Walking from the house you will find Killearnan Church and the Medieval Redcastle both rich in Scottish History. The picturesque village of Beauly is a 5 min drive. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers & families (with kids). Easy access to all transport links. We welcome everybody.

A bothy bedroom in the heart of the Cairngorms

Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!
