Self renovated house with beautiful botanicals.

Our beach house is located in a small, coastal village within the Unzen-Amakusa National Park. Surrounded by sea, mountains, rivers, and sea cliffs. It was self-renovated and fire pit, seaside wood deck and almost our facilities were crafted by hand. Plants we've carefully nurtured adorn the interior, welcoming you. The daily lives of people add color to this small village. Listen to the sound of grass cutting or the ship horns from the sea. Enjoy our local beautiful life.

SARUYA - Twin Room #8 in Modern Traditional Hostel

Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.
