This cottage is off grid, perfect for hikers, trail runners and nature lovers alike, situated in a tranquil area. We have limited solar electricity, hot water and water straight from a nearby stream. We live simply and respect nature. The property is one of the highest private properties in this part of the mountains.

Guests have access to walks in the garden, the swings, an outdoor massage table and outdoor shower.

Woodsong Cottage - Self Catering

The cottage is situated in The Dargle Valley bordering a forestry estate and overlooks the uMngeni River. It is nestled in the trees next to the main house on Woodsong Farm, which is a small life-style farm where you are free to explore the surroundings. Enjoy walks to the small dam with a picnic basket and bird-watch, take photos, enjoy some casual fishing and wild-swimming. The cottage is not suitable from small children. The cottage is not pet friendly.

The Fox and Hound

The Fox and Hound is situated in the leafy village of Hilton, close to upmarket shops, restaurants, schools, The Hilton Life Hospital and the popular Midlands Meander. It has a cosy living area, with a wood burning fireplace, full Dstv channels, and a well appointed open plan kitchen. Two spacious bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two singles, and the option of mattresses on the living room floor for extra guests. Free WiFi is available.
