The Strawberry Box - luxury eco barn conversion

The Strawberry Box is a luxuriously converted old tractor barn located on our working strawberry farm in rural Suffolk. South facing with extensive views across the rolling countryside, it is self contained and private, perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday, a romantic break or a base for exploring the rich heritage and beautiful villages around us. There are good pubs within comfortable walking distance and footpaths and narrow lanes to explore close by - or just take a wander around the farm.

Our detached lodge is set in the grounds of our gated property overlooking the hot tub and stable yard. It has 2 bedrooms and a large lounge with 2 sets of French doors to take in the views. TV,dining table and 4 chairs and comfy sofa. Fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave and toaster. Gas central heating and heated towel rail in bathroom. Private parking outside lodge and free airport parking for those flying from Southend airport. Cot and high chair available. DVD players and dvds

Fosters meadow shepherds hut

Nestled in a small private glade next to a brook with views over the meadow, and countryside beyond, an abundance of wildlife all around a great place to get away from it all. Arrive through double doors into this delightful, character-filled studio, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Small & cosy, it offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. The space is designed to make the most of every corner, with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The studio is nestled in the heart of the village, with everything you need just a short stroll away. Two welcoming pubs, a wine bar/café, and three shops. Scenic walks or simply to unwind, the studio offers the ideal base.

Recently converted Nissen Barn on beautiful farm

The recently converted Nissen Barn is located on a farm in its own private meadow. The barn is surrounded by the beautiful Essex countryside - rolling hills, ancient trees, wildflowers and grasses, hedgerows, horses and sheep. The conversion was completed in March 2021 and sleeps 4 adults in 2 big bedrooms. There is also a loft bedroom accessed by a hidden door with a king size mattress suitable for older children or a couple. Perfect for families, but note there is no enclosed garden.

The Pickers' Lodge

Based on the outskirts of Chelmsford this unique cabin sits on a working fruit farm. It offers a peaceful setting to work from or relax in which overlooks a small plum orchard. Just a short walk away you can pick up supplies from Lathcoats Farm Shop or use The Bee Shed Coffee House for breakfast or lunch. The Picker's Lodge offers a kettle, toaster, microwave and everything you need for something quick and easy in the evening or visit a local pub or restaurant, plenty to choose from!

The Old Stables

On the Suffolk Essex border surrounded by fields, trees, and plenty of wildlife lies our old late 18th century stable building. Just 5 minutes off the A12 and you are in a different world. We live in the thatched Farm Cottage, the oldest part dating back to the 15th century and the stable is situated at the end of the drive. Excellent location for cycling (on the National Cycle Route 1), or visiting Jimmys Farm just 4.9 miles up the road. Walking is a must or just relax and unwind!

Edies retreat is a comfortable, self contained studio apartment, set in a small hamlet of houses at the end of a lane adjacent to a farmers field and apple orchard, on the edge of Dedham Vale AONB. Perfect for relaxing or a more active holiday. Walking, cycling and canoeing can all be enjoyed locally. There are plenty of fascinating local villages and towns to visit if history is your thing. We can suggest various itineraries for you and help you arrange your chosen activities.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, you can walk the Stour Valley Path, cycle to nearby villages like Lavenham or Long Melford, or paddle board along the Stour River.
