Birdhouse on the Beach is steps away from the beach and has an amazing view, in fact you basically drive on the beach to get to the house. The inside of the house is cozy and remodeled in January of 2021! The kitchen, bath, and living room were completely redone. A washer and dryer was added to the house along with 2 sets of bunk beds. Recently renovated & newly furnished cottage is just 2 blocks from the beach and has all the charm and amenities for your next vacay or quick getaway. Close to the beach & only a stones throw from many restaurants, clubs and attractions. Love to cook? We have a HUGE mod kitchen with counter high barstools & a propane grill outside for BBQ. When entertaining at home there's an 82" Smart TV in the living room and Smart TVs in both bedrooms. ( no cable but lg asst of channels)

The 1847 Powhattan House & Living History Museum

Until there is time-travel, staying in the 1847 Powhatan House may be the next best thing. This is the 3rd oldest house in Galveston and has an amazing, almost unbelievable history. This beautiful Greek Revival style home is located 3 blocks from the beach and close to the Strand. The story of the house is told in a brief documentary on YouTube entitled “The Amazing History of Galveston's 1847 Powhatan House.”
