Before we built on this property we gave special homage to the Native peoples, and asked for blessings from the spirits to live here. We have discovered grinding rocks, shards of Chinese pottery, and ancient fire pits on the land.

Welcome to Camp Earnest, a 21 acre former summer camp tucked into the Sierras in northern California, about 140 miles east of SF. You'll be staying in one of our brand new cozy yurts tucked into the trees and the hillside. Camp Earnest sits in a ponderosa, cedar and manzanita forest, with light snow in the winter and mild summers. We have a year round creek and hikes right off our property. Nearby are Dodge Ridge Ski Area, Pinecrest Lake, Calaveras Big Trees SP & Yosemite NP.

A magical three-bedroom A-frame retreat on ten gorgeous, wooded acres with a pond. Like living in a State park! Victorian style tiny house, creek access, and miles of hiking trails. We're off-grid, so no issues with power outages or water shortages. We also allow pets for a small fee :) There is a 30’ Pacific Yurt that can also be added for an additional fee (sleeps 4+)
