The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

If staying put is more your thing, cook at home in the fully stocked kitchen (plus BBQ). Need supplies? Walk one block to the Shop N’ Kart grocery store. Beach access at Damon Point is currently closed as the city is repairing erosion damage from the 2024 king tides. Attempting to access could result in fines for trespassing. A reopen date is pending.
