An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Misty Mountain Cabin

My place is close to great views and plenty of wildlife. It is great for romantic getaways or exploring the rainforest to see birds, platypus in the creek at Broken River or just to hang out. The name "Eungella" means "land of cloud" so when you wake up in the morning you will likely be surrounded by thick cooling cloud which clears by about 9am to a beautiful sunny day with the wildlife just waiting to be discovered! Eungella is over an hour from Mackay.

Set on 40 Private acres, this modern cabin has a separate air-cond bedroom with k/size bed. Fully equipped kitchen, lounge with sofa that converts to a d/bed for extra guests. You can even bring your boat, there's plenty of room for a boat trailer on our block and river and beach boat ramps close by.
