A charming apartment located within the Grade 1 listed Layer Marney Tower! This apartment is situated within the main building of the Tower but benefits from its own private entrance and is completely self-contained. It sits adjacent to The Old Cottage, a charmingly wonky Tudor house, dating back to the 1430s, occupied by hosts Janine and Richard. There are plenty of beautiful walks and fascinating places to visit nearby, including medieval Lavenham, the old market town of Sudbury with is fabulous Gainsborough museum, and Bury St Edmunds and its fine Abbey.

Recently converted Nissen Barn on beautiful farm

The recently converted Nissen Barn is located on a farm in its own private meadow. The barn is surrounded by the beautiful Essex countryside - rolling hills, ancient trees, wildflowers and grasses, hedgerows, horses and sheep. The conversion was completed in March 2021 and sleeps 4 adults in 2 big bedrooms. There is also a loft bedroom accessed by a hidden door with a king size mattress suitable for older children or a couple. Perfect for families, but note there is no enclosed garden.

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

Relax in this detached former cart lodge surrounded by beautiful countryside and located in the owners’ grounds in a great rural location. The Cart Lodge can accommodate up to 5 people, with the Master Bedroom having a King size bed and the second bedroom having a Queen size bed and single bed. We take the utmost care in cleaning the property including disinfecting frequently touched surfaces between reservations so that it is safe for our guests upon arrival.
