Birch Burn Retreat

Birch Burn Retreat, a former 19th-century church, offers a tranquil escape with forest walks, hammock relaxation and firepit nights. It has electricity, heat pump, wifi, and a simple kitchen with a mini fridge. Accommodations include double/queen beds for four adults or a larger family with camp cots. Essential facilities include portapotty, wash station, and fresh water. Dogs are welcome. Enjoy the secluded beauty of Birch Burn Retreat. Due to provincial ban, fires not allowed until ban lifted

A five minute drive to Lawrencetown beach perfect for surfing. Walking distance of Rose and Rooster cafe, great for coffee and breakfast! A great spot for bird and wildlife enthusiasts, you’ll see herons fishing and deer and foxes outside. 10 minutes from Porters Lake for all the amenities you need, 20 minutes to Cole Harbour.

The cabin provides a cozy space to curl up with your favourite book in front of the fire, or the perfect setting to relax after a day of hiking, with the High Head trail at your front door. Enjoy the private deck with the sounds of the ocean and the visiting wildlife. Located in Prospect,20 min to Halifax and Peggy’s Cove.

We invite you to our new cabin in peaceful Boutiliers Point - an ideal spot for an out-of-city vacation and outdoor activities. It is located just 30 minutes from downtown Halifax. We are minutes from the ocean, where you can find a beautiful small beach and a wharf to fish off the pier. The cabin has a full pull-out sofa, a smart TV, WI-FI, heating and AC, a kitchenette, and a stall shower. The cabin can accommodate one traveler or a couple. A mattress can also be provided for a child.

My cottage is very modern and unique; it sits on a private 5 acre lot surrounded by woods overlooking Middle lake with stunning sunrises. Enjoy being engulfed by nature with the comfort of everyday amenities including a hot tub and even an arcade with over 800 retro games! The dock and canoe at the lake are available for use during the summer months but will be removed in October until spring. Ski Martock/Ontree, Bent Ridge Winery are within a 10min drive from Chalet Hamlet.
