Our home is a comfortable space for families & friends on an adventure, getaway, staycation or as a remote work place. Located on 1.5 acres in Lake Elmore, VT you'll enjoy both peace and beauty. The Lake & Elmore State Park are only 1/2 mile away. The classic New England village of Stowe is our close by neighbor.

Historic House in the Village of Hardwick

Rochester House is near restaurants, trails, family-friendly activities, and lake beaches. It's convenient to many destinations, including, Hill Farmstead, Caspian Lake (beach) and Craftsbury. A short walk to the Farmer's Market, grocery stores, and most village restaurants. Downtown is .7 miles, 15 min walk. This may be too far in winter. There is a city plowed sidewalk all the way during snow season if needed. House of Pizza is only 2 blocks. We are in the village, please respect neighbors.

It's a 1/2 hour drive to Stowe Mt. or Smugglers Notch ski resorts and an hour to Jay Peak. Elmore State park is only 2 miles away for hiking and swimming in the lake ! Our single story 2 bedroom 1 bath home is located within 30 minutes of Mad River Glen and Sugarbush ski areas and the quaint towns of Bristol, Richmond and Waitsfield. Drive another 15 minutes to Burlington or the Bolton Valley Ski Area. Hiking, biking and cross country skiing trails are nearby, or just sit on the porch and enjoy the sounds of the nearby river. Snow tires and front wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicles necessary during the winter months.
