The cottage retains some of it's 19th century charm but has been renovated to be a practical and comfortable home.

Furso is a traditional langhouse, used as a family home since at least the 17th century. It was used as a family home until the 60s and as a summer retreat until the late 80s-despite not having electricity or mains water until the 90s. It has been used as a holiday let since 2001 when it was sympathetically renovated. All on one level, the property is wheelchair accessible throughout. It has stunning views across Hoy Sound and out to the open Atlantic. Parking is available right outside, but if you visit without a car, regular buses from Stromness go to all areas of Orkney.
