Only 5 miles from the new North East 250 tourist route and Snow roads tourist route. Bothy means basic but read the reviews it's got charm. There are woodland walks direct from the bothy. DIRECTIONS TURN up the track that has a green sign for Strathdon Lodges about 500 metres to the east of the SPAR SHOP.

The Holt is a small wooden cabin situated on the Snow Road route through Aberdeenshire, in the catchment of Royal Deeside and close to Balmoral. It sits within our property but is detached from the main house with it's own decking and private space. Numerous munros and hills are accessible within an easy drive or bike, winter skiing at Glenshee orThe Lecht ski centres, and endless hiking or walking. Ballater and Braemar villages are popular tourist stops.

The Crow's Nest~ House of Newe

*WINTER SCHEDULE* Enjoy the house itself or the 12 acres of mostly woodlands at our doorstep. Climb to the top of Ben Newe or Ski at the Lecht. Strathdon in the winter can be harder to access if there is snow. Always check the weather when travelling (October-April). A place to get away, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings! Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.
