The Smiddy Kirkwall

The Smiddy is a unique house, a converted woollen mill fully modernised with many special architectural features. Suitable for upto six adults, two children and one infant maximum. The house is decorated to a high standard with Orkney stone walls, oak flooring and oak stairway. Upstairs at The Smiddy there is a spacious living area with a wood burning stove, panoramic window, 75" TV with Sky and sound system and there is also a juke box. On the outskirts of the historic town of Stromness in the West Mainland of Orkney, this single-story barn conversion has one bedroom, an open-plan living/dining/kitchen space, and a bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. All on one level, the property is wheelchair accessible throughout. It has stunning views across Hoy Sound and out to the open Atlantic. Parking is available right outside, but if you visit without a car, regular buses from Stromness go to all areas of Orkney.
