Surf Sanctuary Retreat and Sauna: Beach & Redwoods

The Surf Sanctuary retreat is minutes away from remote beaches and redwoods. Please note: Redwood Park is 30 minutes away. The sanctuary is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen and bathroom. We are located within a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 30 minutes away from Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect launch location for hiking, surfing, cycling and enjoying this amazing place. Enjoy our beautiful quiet space for relaxation and renewal. The space is shoe and scent free.

Beautiful new, spacious tent! Comes with queen-sized inflated mattress, mattress cover, and one quilt. Pillows and extra bedding up to you or available at laundry fee ($5/ea). In a fir-covered clearing with stunning views of the night sky, the meadow, and the forest beyond. At night, you can hear the ocean (1 mile away) roar. Sturdy fire pit; free firewood; firestarters. Hot water showers and flush toilets. No ambient light; no electricity at site. Starlink internet/wifi. We welcome the world.

Rose Garden Bungalow

Rose Garden bungalow is part of Creekside Arts, an collective supporting the arts in Humboldt County. As a guest your will enjoy a quiet, cozy studio cottage situated on 2 landscaped acres surrounded by redwoods, a 10 minute drive to either Arcata or Eureka. There is much to discover and experience right on the property: a library, perfect for reflection and writing; fruit trees, roses and other flowers, vegetable garden, an artist gazebo/studio, our chickens and bees, and a bocce ball court.

Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.
