Our spacious and secluded guest suite is in the perfect location to enjoy all that beautiful Charleston has to offer. Nestled in a quiet suburb, we’re less than a ten minute drive to the Battery and historic district of downtown, and a fifteen minute drive to Folly Beach. The suite was built in 2023, and includes a multitude of amenities for your perfect trip. With beautiful floor to ceiling windows, the view has sweeping oaks and mature magnolias, setting the scene for your Southern getaway.

Whether exploring our beautiful historic city (6mi north) or splashing in the ocean (7mi east), you can’t go wrong with a stay here on James Island, a charming barrier island of Charleston. We've prepared a private space in our pet and smoke-free home which includes one bedroom with a comfy queen bed, a full bath with shower/tub and a cozy TV lounge that offers a breakfast/work table and a coffee station with mini-fridge and microwave. You’ll find your rooms to be immaculately clean & fresh.

Spacious apartment with high ceilings. The back porch has a fantastic view of Charleston harbor. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, very close to downtown and also to beaches. Private dock, kayaks, bicycles (not fancy) and the possibility, weather and tides permitting, of a motorboat ride around the harbor. From the windows and patio you can see the historic Morris Island Lighthouse and panoramic marsh views! Enjoy a gorgeous sunrise with coffee, or the evening breeze and glass of wine from your private, ground level patio. Perfect size for one or two couples or a romantic getaway. Your private, renovated flat occupies the top floor of our elevated home. We live in the floor below and use a separate entrance. We do not allow children under 14 and guests must be at least 24 years old.

Island Hideout

Your dream Charleston getaway awaits in our newly renovated 2BR apartment on James Island. Our space boasts two memory-foam Queen beds and a cozy futon for ultimate relaxation. Experience the best of both worlds with a short 10 min drive to Folly Beach and 12 mins to Downtown. Our full kitchen and bath provide convenience, while the large, shaded, fenced-in backyard is perfect for creating memories with family and friends. For added fun, we offer beach chairs, towels, and a Bluetooth stereo.

The Garden Folly Guest House

Our architect said, “this is NOT a garage, it’s a Garden Folly!” Our Guest House has a bird’s eye view of the rose covered pecan tree and a vista of the marsh and the Wappoo Creek. When we rebuilt our 1930's garage we saved all the beaded siding and pine floor. My husband enjoyed incorporating many design elements and creative ideas. It was quickly becoming the Taj Garage. We decided it was just the kind of property we enjoy when we travel, so, Voila! we decided to share it with you!

The Cottage On James Island

A few miles from historic & scenic downtown Charleston and Folly Beach this is the ideal location for your next vacation! You will enjoy complete privacy with a separate entry. Bedroom consists of Queen bed, dresser, armoire and library. You will love the walk-in shower complete with ceiling-to-floor tile. Comfortable living room with a sofa, two chairs, TV (Firestick only), kitchenette with small dining table, refrigerator, microwave, and convection oven for your use. Wi-fi available.

Sunny Spot on Ocean View

This cozy guest house is located on Ocean View Road, which is a dead end. A quick down walk down the road and you will see Clark Sound and the Morris Island Lighthouse. The private driveway will easily accomodate your vehicle as well as a boat trailer should you decide to bring your own boat. Sunny Spot is 7 miles from Folly Beach and about 7 miles from downtown Charleston. It is also very close to John's Island where some excellent restaurants and breweries can be found.
