The home has a massive outdoor dining area with fire pit & BBQ. Inside is a split system for heating/cooling and a coonara fireplace for cold, wintry weather. Firewood can usually be purchased from the Bonnie Doon service station. Views from every window, a 10 minute drive to the local pub (dogs welcome) and lake. Come and enjoy!

Shaws Road BnB is set in an idyllic rural setting 45 minutes from Melbourne and is a fully self-contained one-bedroom luxury apartment with a private entrance, on the first floor of the farmhouse. A hamper of breakfast items is provided together with a complimentary bottle of our estate wine. There are panoramic views of vineyards, nearby farms and the distant Kinglake Ranges. Only 15 minutes drive to the world famous Yarra Valley wineries, eateries and the Chocolaterie. Great cafes nearby!

We are only 2 minutes walk to the Great Victorian Rail Trail with no major roads to cross, so its a great stop over for bike riders. We are approximately 45 minutes to the base of Mount Bulla and 5 minutes walk to Lake Eildon. 15 minute walk along rail trail or 3 minute drive gets you to the hotel that has meals every day. The apartment has a kitchenette that includes a Microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, coffee machine, hotplate, all cutlery, Airfryer crockery etc.. BBQ and Pizza.

The strawbale cottage consists of 2 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge, coffee pod machine, and 1 bathroom with a bidet and a shower. Constructed in 2021 using some materials recovered from the original 1885 house it has a large open plan living area, balcony and alfresco, backyard and front yard space (sorry no pets). Opposite rail line and close to local businesses the Rockery and Longwood Community Centre, local wineries Mitchellton, Tabilk, RPL, Fowle’s, Hide and Seek and Maygars.

Your own driveway will lead you out to the little house, past our private residence and orchard. You can rest on the deck, lay on the grass or soak in the tub. With no WiFi or TV you can disconnect for a while and let the surrounds recharge you. Wander with the chickens in the orchard, take yourself out into the forest or explore the Yarra Valley.
