Strathblane is situated at the foot of the campsie hills, There is a bus service to Glasgow and Stirling. Milingavie is a 10 min drive away which has a train service to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Loup of Fintry, The loch lomand National Park and the Trossachs are all a short drive away.The village has a pub and a hotel both serving meals Its a great place to be based as there are plenty country walks , Mugdock country park. Twechar is situated on the Forth and Clyde canal which is used for cycling, walking and kayaking. There are many walks in and around Twechar itself for instance the Roman Fort and easy access to the Trossachs.

The cosy and comfortable garden house is located in the beautiful farmhouse garden, surrounded by trees and sits next to a lovely glen. It is in a very handy central location for all visitor attractions and scenic areas near Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk and Edinburgh, as well as nearby towns of Kirkintilloch and Cumbernauld. Near the Forth and Clyde canal and the John Muir Way.

Tin Lid Cottage - cosy ground floor flat

There's 200 years of history in our cosy little cottage. Part of the original village cross and formerly ‘Bab’s Shop’, it is now a one bedroom haven. There's wonderful walks from the doorstep and it's a great base to explore the cities and sights of central Scotland. Our quiet & lovely village pub, The Swan is open Friday- Monday. It was the first community owned pub in Scotland and has recently had a major refurbishment. Be sure to book ahead, it’s popular!
