Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. We invite you to come...... and experience country life.

Organic Vineyard and Farm Oasis

Stay on Leelanau’s only organic vineyard and farm (Green Bird Organic Cellars). This one-of-a-kind stay puts you close to everything in Northport & Leland, while enjoying the natural beauty of our boutique winery. The space has a private entrance, a lofted bed with a ladder(best for folks with full-mobility), a living/dining area, a fridge/microwave/keurig and a full bathroom with a shower. This home is a five minute drive to the beach, blueberry picking, Burn 'Em Brewing, Shady Creek Winery, next to Tryon Farm or 10 minute drive to downtown, the casino, and the outlet mall, but our guess is that you won't want to leave the property! Available year round, our 'getaway' is a perfect setting for family vacations, reunions, retreats, hunters, fishermen, golfers, snowmobilers, skiers, or color tours. Close to Lake Ann, Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes.

The Barn Quilt Bungalow- Views of horses right out your window! Includes 1 bedroom (queen), 1 pull out mattress (queen), 1 bathroom (shower), living room, kitchen, heat & A/C. Walk the trails or walk to the winery. MAX OCCUPANCY is TWO guests. You can add a third for $30/night. Guests may not bring additional people, no matter how long. Airbnb will be contacted immediately if you exceed the max occupancy. No children, animals, or service animals (allergy/ health hazard).

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin is nestled to the back of the 3.6 acres of a private wooded land with a short walk to the all sport lake. The updated home features two bedrooms, sleeping loft, family room, washer/dryer, all the amenities of home. Enjoy the 160 ft of lakefront off our private dock. We have 2 kayaks, a Canoe and a small fishing boat, floaties and life vests for boating or swimming. Enjoy a day at the lake, cook dinner on one of our grills and enjoy the evening by the firepit.

Outpost Treehouse

The lookout inspired Outpost Treehouse (not actually attached to a tree) sits in a white pine forest in the middle of a 50 acre active farm. The 15 hand crafted windows allow for great views watching out for Michigan wildlife--White tail deer, turkeys, owls, coyote have all been spotted from the elevated wrap around deck. The biggest regret that guests have noted is “we wish we would have stayed longer”!
