Lighthouse keepers; Home of the year finalist

Welcome to the lighthouse keepers house! We have been voted as one of Ireland’s top 50 places to stay by the Irish Independent #Fab50 ( number 26 :)) We spent two years renovating this 200 year old building. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!

Clonunion House is a delightful 250 year-old farmhouse set on a working family farm in the outskirts of the picturesque village of Adare, County Limerick. The house is set in large tranquil gardens. Marina View is a beautiful oasis located on the Shannon in the vibrant village of Killaloe/Ballina. You can relax and read, watch a film, prepare meals, or just enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony. The village is a leisurely ten-minute walk away. There are many cafes, a French patisserie, numerous pubs with trad music and several restaurants along with two hotels. Killaloe also serves as a base for exploring Nenagh, Limerick and Galway.

We are located in a peaceful rural countryside setting just 3 mins (by car) from Newport town, 12 mins from University of Limerick/ Castletroy, 15 mins from Limerick City centre and 40 mins from Shannon Airport.
