Ganeden Eco Retreat is set overlooking valleys of native bush and pasture. Ganeden relies solely on solar power generation and is earth friendly. This retreat offers an experience in comfort & sustainability. You will be 5 to 15 km from some of NZ's great expansive white sandy beaches, stunning walks, cafes & outdoor pursuits. Your accommodation is half of the main house. It is completely closed off for your privacy with private access & outdoor deck. BBQ by request. Not suitable for children.

Welcome to The Retreat. Situated on an idyllic 45 Acre Farm in Waipu, with your very own Lake and Sea views. It does not get any better than this! Just 1.5 hrs out of Auckland via State Highway 1. It's your ultimate City Break getaway! Fully renovated Chalet, Queen size Bed, quality Linen & Towels, high pressure Shower, heated Towel Rail, Kitchen, sun filled Decks, hot sunken Bath, Stars, and your very own vege garden. Make sure you pack your swimming suit and take a dip in the Lake!

The Annex - self contained unit .

The Annex is on a small farmlet, 6 km south of Whangarei, with harbour views. It was a sleepout, built in the 1980's, separate, but next to the main house. It has two bedrooms. There is a double bed and two singles plus a day bed in the living area. The living/ dining area, has a wood fire. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. It is situated about 100 mtr off SH1, so there can be road noise. There are no streetlights and it can be very dark if you arrive after sundown.

Kensington Studio

Modern spacious self contained studio with its own private entrance. 5 minutes from the Town Basin; a perfect base for exploring Whangarei. Upstairs bedroom with queen & single beds. Downstairs a separate bathroom adjacent to lounge with heat pump and small kitchenette. Includes jug, toaster, fridge, microwave. Some breakfast essentials such as milk, spreads, muesli, various teas & coffee facilities as a starter only. Freeview TV and Netflixs. Off street parking for one vehicle.

Room @ No. Two

Boutique accomodation minutes from the village. Room @ No Two is a private guest room and en-suite. It has gorgeous sun and relaxing views overlooking lush green countryside. We provide tea, coffee and muesli. There is a small fridge to keep your market goodies chilled. You’ll have your own private access, car park, a lovely bathroom, TV and Wifi. You’ll also have your own seated outside area which catches the late afternoon sun, this is a lovely place to relax and unwind.

Views and convenience at Snells Beach.

Our space is great for travelers who enjoy wineries, breweries, cafes, beaches, walks, cinema (boutique), Saturday markets, Goat Island and a variety of places to visit and explore within easy distance. Nearby is the ferry for a day at Kawau Island. The downstairs studio is private but we are close by and pleased to help and chat if you choose. Warkworth has large grocery stores and shopping but we have a great new grocery shop and a local pub within walking distance.

Matakana Retreat - Luxury Off Grid Lodge in Nature

A unique hilltop and off grid eco-chic retreat located amidst 50 acres of mixed forest and native New Zealand bush. If you want a digital detox, this is a magical place to reconnect with nature while enjoying the bird life and beautiful views across the valley all the way to Hauturu / Little Barrier island. The house is a ten minute drive to Matakana Village, where you can enjoy the famous Matakana markets, local foods, wine, coffee and art experiences.

Quiet Chalet with grand views & 15 min to city

Situated on a private 4ha rural property on the flanks of Mt Parakiore viewing the Whangarei Harbour, our new, stand-alone cottage is inviting guests to relax on the deck spotting our local Kahu flying by. Enjoy the fresh, modern interior with free Wi-Fi, smart TV, a laptop friendly space and a kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nescafe Dolce Gusto Coffee machine. Our tank water is filtered and ready to drink from the tap.

Fairytale Treehouse

This gorgeous house is built right in the boughs of the trees reconnecting you with tales like the Lord of the Rings and the Magic Faraway Tree. Take an adventure into this dreamy dwelling that's nestled in its own private stand of native trees. This quiet getaway is not far from the city, and based on our secluded 28 acre property. Breakfast items are also provided for you to prepare at your leisure.

Thistle Do Beach Bach

Thistle Do Beach Bach is located meters off State Highway 1 at Ruakaka. The open plan lounge and kitchen has large windows and doors that allow maximum light and airflow, while the doors open onto a sun drenched deck with gas BBQ and outdoor setting. Inside the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including fridge/freezer, microwave, cooktop, electric frypan and dishwasher.

Hengleigh Studio

Hengleigh Studio is self-contained, located separately from our house, on a small lifestyle block, surrounded by a variety of top tourist attractions. The property is all flat, with a rural outlook, complete with a pond, sheep, fruit trees, and a private area to relax. Please note, it is not suitable for children, and there is 1 queen sized bed, with no room for any extra beds.

Pakiri Paradise on the ridge

Sit in the spa pool enjoying breathtaking views of Matakana valley in complete seclusion as the sun sets and the stars appear in the dark sky around you. Listen for Kiwi calls from Mt Tamahunga. Dine in nearby Leigh (15 min), or Matakana (30 minutes). We are just 1 1/4 hours from Auckland.
