The Captains Quarters at Sylvanrude is a step into a forest of Douglas Fir, Cedar, and Hemlock. The small apartment is above a garage, and is equipped with a coved ceiling bathroom, (tall folks beware) full kitchen, cozy sleeping area with a new queen bed on antique frame, TV with DVDs only, (wifi is through MIFI, a Verizon source), a private beach fire pit with beach access, and the most amazing sunsets over Case Inlet. If you are a bird watching enthusiast, don't forget the binoculars!

Enjoy our 1957 cozy cedar cabin, and our no bank beachfront property, located on clean, swimmable Mason Lake near the South Puget Sound and Hood Canal. Perfect for a family or romantic getaway. Plenty of activities are available on our 1 acre lot for you: approx. 60 ft. dock, kayak, canoe, row boat, 2 paddle boards, lily pad, fire pit and grass area for cornhole, and more! We are excited to share our family gem with you. Good heating and wifi is especially appreciated in the fall/winter.

Our place is perfect for two adults (no children, sorry) to get away. We are pet friendly with certain limitations, however (read House Rules below). Our off-the-grid log cabin is great for a private, romantic weekend, a contemplative retreat or base camp for adventures around Hood Canal and the Olympic Peninsula. There are good restaurants nearby with indoor and outdoor dining and take out service. We have a stunning view of Hood Canal and the Olympic mountains right from your deck.
