From the doorstep you can enjoy walks in native woodland next to Fairydean Burn and further beyond to open countryside tracks and hills a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life, whilst still only a short drive to Edinburgh. If you are lucky you might see some of our local wildlife including pheasant and tawny owls, bats, badgers, hedgehogs, deer, stoats and more.
