Nedaleč od Triglavskega narodnega parka je svetovno znana Vintgarska soteska oddaljena le 4 km. Julijske Alpe 10 min. vožnje. Naše mesto je obkroženo z visokimi hribi, Karavankami in Mezaklo. Tudi pohodništvo je lahko lepo. Slap Peričnik je lep poldnevni izlet, navadno je zamrznjen v zimskem času. Najbolj znana kolesarska steza se začne iz našega mesta v Nat. park in še dlje v Italijo....
