The outdoors is this home's other half, creating an enveloping amphitheater of gardens, birds, trees & a hammock. Beyond this private nest are 360 degree views of the Sangre de Christo Mountains, the Rio Grande Gorge, spectacular sunset displays & miles of walking & bike trails.

Explore the beautiful tile mural depicting an Ent's life (also known as Onodrim (Tree-host) by the Elves), take a seat in Gandalf's chair and command his staff, touch the amethyst crystal inlaid in the underground walls & enjoy the silence of being within the earth. Welcome to The ModPod. A comfortable, clean, modern space with a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom with south facing windows and hand laid brick floors. Includes subfloor radiant heat for the winter and a skylight for ventilation in the summer. An off grid gem with wireless internet, beautiful finishes, and comfortable furniture. The studio is located in the Greater World Earthship Community, just past the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. 20 minutes from the heart of the historic district.

As one of the latest additions to the esteemed collection of official Global Model Earthships, it represents the pinnacle of sustainable architecture and self-sufficiency. This listing is for the east side of "Mother Earthship". There is an attached west suite. Both sides are completely private with only the driveway shared.

Sit by the pool after exploring local sites, then relax in the hot tub ( no jets) or sip a glass of wine (or non-alcoholic cider) while taking in the views. The Casita offers a private courtyard and entrance, an outdoor pool (May 15 to October 15), and an on- demand hot tub (year-round, no jets).
