I'm an architect, and originally designed the studio as a workspace at the rear of our home for my photographer husband, Ian. We've recently converted it to a self-contained dwelling, so we can share what we love about the city. A quiet and cozy cabin boasting prime position in its perfect city fringe location. Peaceful, private, and securely nestled into a greenbelt nook, away from roads, with a lovely, elevated view. My returning guests love how close we are to the city, yet you'll feel you’ve escaped it. You can get to the airport quickly and directly access native bush walks. Our unique village hosts Wellington's best bakery and Chocolatier! Grab a bite and a beverage here or jump on a bus heading into the city.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a unique, romantic place on the South Coast. Stunning views, opposite a swimming and dog beach plus rock pools, it’s great for walks. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

There are several buses to the central city during the day. You’ll love the generous space in this gorgeous, cosy 1890's cottage, with a modern bathroom, spacious lounge, comfy bed, a private garden & full kitchen with gas hob & electric oven for guests who like to cook. My place is good for singles, couples and business travellers.

Our BnB is homely, a little quirky & best suited to those who travel relatively light. Self service breakfast is included. There are 2 spaces (bedroom ± separate kitchen/bathroom) a few steps apart & linked by a covered walkway. The cosy bedroom has a queen size bed, desk for work or eating, good WiFi & comfortable seating. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking & the bathroom has a great shower. The nook outside the bedroom is perfect for a morning coffee.

Warm Studio Apartment

Warm studio apartment in Eastern Wellington. Close to Wellington airport, Lyall Bay beach, Kilbirnie and Akau Tangi/ASB sports centre. The apartment is a self contained unit on the ground floor of a two story house. We live in the top floor with our three year old and 5 month old daughters so please expect to hear children. The front of the building has shared steps to access the property. There is a large deck outside the apartment with a washing line.

Sunny one bedroom Kilbirnie apartment, great views

Amazing location, close to airport, Lyall Bay beach, Kilbirnie shops, pool, and buses. This is a recently renovated one bedroom apartment with great sun and views and a private deck looking out over Kilbirnie and Evans Bay. The apartment has separate access from the main house. Please note that there are stairs (14) leading to the front door. We can set the bedroom up with a king bed or two singles.
