The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is a unique, romantic place on the South Coast. Stunning views, opposite a swimming and dog beach plus rock pools, it’s great for walks. With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

The Lighthouse at 113 Albury Street is situated in the main street of Holbrook close to shops and eateries and 35mins to Albury. A unique stay in that it is an original residence totally renovated to suit the needs of our guests. Building erected around 1905 of timber construction for the purpose of a jewellery store, funeral directors and nursery. It was not lived in for around 10yrs. We were lucky enough to purchase the property in 2017. The upstairs bedroom is a mezzanine floor.

Jungle Gym (Prana Room) is good for 1 person. It is ideal for male or female solo staycationers or backpackers. There is a twin adjacent room beside this room called Jungle Aerial arts (Chi Room) also listed here as a separate listing which is good for 1 to 2 persons. There are common areas you can share with a few other vacationers such as the dining, seating area, fitness area, inner courtyard, etc. The view from this room is spacious and to the side, you can see a bathtub.
