Entrance Lodge overlooks the Teviot river, with steps right outside the front door to the water's edge where little ones can go feed the ducks.

We have facilities for a baby, disabled persons and well-behaved dogs. Rural, 3 miles to the shops in Penicuik. 12 miles to Edinburgh and 10 miles to Peebles. The X62 bus goes to Edinburgh or Peebles every half hour. The bus stop is less than a kilometre away. It takes 40-50 mins to the centre of Edinburgh, depending on the traffic.
