The perfect base for visiting the West Country.

The Old Stables

The Old Stables is a unique and romantic escape situated on the edge of Avon Woods in Publow. Beautiful countryside walks, along with multiple pubs and the famous Pensford Viaduct are all on your doorstep. Located between the vibrant cities of Bristol & Bath, you can access the bars and culture of these great cities before returning to a countryside retreat. We have installed a brand new 55 inch smart tv and super fast Starlink internet making this a perfect place to relax or work.

The Old Stable, between Bath and Bristol

Half way between Bath and Bristol is our charming and cosy eighteenth century newly renovated old stable. This unique space is the perfect retreat for two in a village location with Georgian Bath six miles in one direction and vibrant Bristol six miles in the other. And when you want to escape from the delights of these very different cosmopolitan centres there are many beautiful walks here on the edge of the Cotswolds to explore, with two lovely country pubs within walking distance.

Pretty annex with kitchen and private garden

This lovely annex has its own private entrance with a small fenced garden and patio area with table and chairs. There is one ensuite kingsize bedroom (or 2 singles) and a open plan kitchen with sofa bed (more suitable for children as no separate bathroom) There is parking outside. Our beautiful hamlet is very quiet with great walks from the door. We do run a working farm so you may occasionally hear that in action. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

Hello! Our home is in the vibrant and colourful area of Southville, just a short 15 minute walk from Bristol city centre. Southville is a very popular part of Bristol and home to Upfest, which is Europe’s biggest street art festival. The accommodation itself is a self-contained part of our home with its own private entrance. Inside, you’ll find a bright and spacious bedroom with en suite shower room. Directly beneath in the basement is a lounge area with kitchenette.
